Algebra Foundations Course

Algebra Foundations provides a comprehensive review of fundamental concepts in real numbers, algebraic expressions, equations, and functions. It is designed to reinforce a strong mathematical framework, equipping students with the essential skills required for success in Algebra 2 and subsequent mathematics courses.

Ideal for students seeking to refresh and solidify their foundation in algebra knowledge ahead of the upcoming academic year.

 

Topics include:

  • Real Numbers & Estimation Strategies

  • Simplifying Algebraic Expressions

  • Solving Linear Equations & Inequalities

  • Slope and Graphing Lines

  • Systems of Equations

  • Factoring Techniques

  • Quadratic Functions: Solving & Graphing

  • Exponent Rules & Exponential Functions

  • Real-World Math Applications

Learning Goals:

  • Build fluency with algebraic expressions and equations

  • Strengthen number sense and problem-solving strategies

  • Apply algebra concepts to real-world contexts

  • Lessen summer learning loss

Dates: (Meets 3 days per week for 2 hours per day)

  • Week 1: T/W/TH - July 29, 30, 31

  • Week 2: T/W/TH - August 5, 6, 7

Time: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Location: Hosted in person at our Kirkland office

Who this course is for:

  • Students enrolled in Algebra 2 for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year

  • Students preparing to take the SAT during the upcoming 2025-2026 school year; this is an essential course to solidify algebra concepts before taking an SAT Test Prep Course. Note: This course is not a replacement for SAT Test Prep.
